Jack Pott
My first work in daily strips began in 1990 on the newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad". The series featured a pretty
stupid gambler and risk-taker, who was always getting into scrapes of one kind or another. It was set in the
late 30's. Jack was always getting into trouble because he couldn't resist the ladies - who invariably turned
out to be bad for him and dangerous to know. It was written by my longtime collaborator, Willem Ritstier. I
loved drawing this strip but it finished in 1995 when the newspaper underwent a makeover. Currently, the six
adventures of Jack Pott are republished by Bee Dee-comics.
